Sew-on, heat-transfer, flame retardant and two-tone builds. Each one is fixed by backing, reflectivity and wash rating, so the trim can be matched to the garment care programme rather than the other way round.

What we supply

Four constructions for garments that are laundered industrially rather than at home. The wash rating is the same across the range; what changes is how the trim is attached and what the base fabric has to do.

Sew-On Industrial Wash Reflective Tape

RS-F-IW-03

A silver glass-bead tape on a 100% polyester backing. The trim is sewn into the garment, so there is no heat-press bond to fail and no adhesive that has to match the shell fabric.

Industrial Wash Reflective Heat Transfer Tape

RS-F-IW-04

A hotmelt-bonded tape applied by heat press. It removes the stitch line and the needle holes that let water into a garment, which is why it is the usual choice for lightweight workwear and for trims that cross a seam.

Wash performance of a hotmelt bond depends on the substrate and on the press conditions, so the bond is confirmed on your own fabric before the run starts.

Industrial Wash Flame Retardant Reflective Fabric

RS-F-IW-05 / 06

A silver glass-bead fabric on a flame retardant base. Two bases are stocked: 100% cotton to match cotton FR clothing, and aramid for garments that see the highest heat and the most aggressive laundering.

Two-Tone Flame Retardant Reflective Tape

RS-F-IW-07 / 08

A fluorescent band bonded alongside the silver reflective band, so one trim gives the garment its daytime hi-vis colour and its retroreflection at night. Supplied in yellow-silver and orange-silver.

• Fluorescent face plus >420 cd/(lx·m²) silver band
• 100% cotton or aramid base
• >50 industrial washing, ISO 15797 at 75 °C with 90 °C tumble dry
