Print the reflective area, not the whole panel.

Reflective fabric printed with your artwork, so the reflective effect appears only where the design puts it — logos, line patterns and graphics on a textile base.

What we supply

A reflective base cloth is printed with customer artwork so the reflective return is confined to the printed areas. The unprinted cloth keeps behaving like the base textile, which is how a reflective logo or a graphic line is produced without cutting shapes out of tape and bonding them on. It also means the reflective element can be designed as part of the print rather than added as a separate trim.

Artwork is printed onto a reflective base so the reflective return follows the design. A logo, a line pattern or a graphic carries the effect instead of a continuous stripe.

FAQ | Reflective printing fabric

What buyers ask before printing on reflective fabric — artwork requirements, reflectivity loss and how it compares with taping shapes on.

What artwork do you need?

Vector files to the print specification, with the reflective areas identified separately from the non-reflective areas. Raster artwork can be redrawn, but the outline quality then depends on the source resolution, so vector is the reliable route.

Does printing reduce reflectivity?

Printed areas reflect; unprinted areas behave like the base cloth. How much the print reduces the return depends on the ink laydown and colour, so the build is confirmed against a proof rather than assumed. For a brand-critical panel, approve a physical proof first.

Why print instead of cutting tape into shapes?

Cut tape leaves an edge, adds thickness and needs bonding or stitching on every piece. Printing keeps the panel a single continuous cloth, which drapes and washes as one material — useful on thin shells and on designs with many small elements.

Is the reflective effect visible in daylight?

No. The base is a reflective textile that reads as a grey-silver cloth in daylight; the return only appears when a light is aimed at it. The print colour is what the garment shows by day.

Can we print in colour?

Yes, within the limits of printing on a reflective substrate. Colour sits on top of the reflective layer, so a heavy dark print covers more of the return than a light one. Send the design and the intended viewing condition and the print is specified against it.

How does it wash?

Wash performance is confirmed per build against the wash programme supplied with the order. Print adhesion and the reflective layer are both affected by abrasion, so on high-wear areas the print placement matters as much as the ink.

Can we test the print on our own garment?

Yes. Send the shell fabric, the panel and the design, and a proof is printed on the real substrate and washed, so adhesion, hand feel and residual reflectivity are checked on the material that will ship.

Print resolution and colour are confirmed against the approved proof. Reflectivity in printed areas is confirmed per build. Wash performance is confirmed against the wash programme supplied with the order. Artwork must be supplied as vector to the print specification.

Send the artwork and the panel.

Tell us the design, where the reflective areas sit and the wash programme, and the answer comes back with the print specification and a price.
