Overview
A silver glass-bead reflective vinyl with a PET carrier liner, cut on a vinyl cutter and applied by heat press. It is the material behind reflective logos, numbers and trim on T-shirts, jackets and bags, and it needs no sewing.
Why it suits graphic work
- Cut, weed and press — a standard vinyl cutter and heat press are enough
- Silver glass-bead face at over 260 cd/(lx·m²), with over 420 cd/(lx·m²) grades for EN 20471 and ANSI/ISEA 107 programmes
- Sticky liner holds intricate letters in place through weeding
- Supplied up to 140 cm wide, 50 m or 100 m per roll
- PVC-free and heavy-metal-free, in line with Oeko-Tex Standard 100

Carrier thickness decides what you can cut
A thin carrier curls on press and drifts in registration; a thicker one holds fine detail. The choice follows the artwork rather than the price - fine line work needs the heavier carrier.
What to confirm before ordering
- Carrier and artwork detail: fine line work needs the heavier carrier to hold registration.
- Press parameters: temperature, pressure and dwell are set per build; confirm against your own press.
- Base fabric: send the shell so the adhesive is matched to it.
- Wash cycle: domestic or industrial, stated up front.
Compliance note
The two grades are a compliance choice before a cost choice. Silver is stated at over 420 cd/(lx·m²) and clears the 330 cd/(lx·m²) floor that EN ISO 20471 sets; the coloured grade is stated at over 260 cd/(lx·m²) and does not. If the finished garment carries a 20471 claim, the grade is decided by the claim, not by the colour brief — and the claim is assessed on the finished article, not on the roll.
If the finished article has to carry an EN ISO 20471 or ANSI/ISEA 107 claim, say so before the order: the grade and the evidence are chosen together, and changing either afterwards means a new build.
