Overview
The hooded version of the reflective sweatshirt: same fluorescent knit and banding, plus a drawcord hood and a kangaroo pocket. It suits the outdoor shift that starts cold and stays outdoors, where a hood is the difference between wearing the garment and not.
Construction
- Fluorescent yellow-green knit with a drawcord hood
- Reflective band across the chest and around each sleeve
- Kangaroo pocket at the front
- Ribbed cuffs and hem
The hood is a visibility decision too
A hood changes the silhouette — it adds bulk at the head and shoulders, which is where a driver looks first. That can help or hurt: it helps in rain and cold, it hurts where a hood over a hard hat is a hazard. Where head protection is required, this garment is worn under the helmet with the hood down, and a banded sweatshirt is the cleaner alternative.
Typical use
Outdoor crews in cold weather, event and security staff, delivery and logistics roles, and shifts that need warmth without a jacket.
Hood and sleeves change the assessment
Placement and visible area decide the class, and a hooded garment adds both a large panel and a surface that folds. Confirm where the reflective elements sit with the hood up as well as down.
What to confirm before ordering
- Target class: the class you intend to sell against, decided before the panel is drawn.
- Market: EN ISO 20471, ANSI/ISEA 107 or CSA-Z96 - the three are not interchangeable.
- Size range: reflective area and placement are assessed per size, not only on the sample size.
- Laundry regime: domestic or industrial, since it sets the trim grade.
Compliance note
A finished garment is the article that gets certified. The reflective elements, the fluorescent background and their placement are assessed together, so the class depends on the whole build rather than on the trims used.
That means the class has to be decided before the panel is designed, not read off a material label afterwards.
