Overview

A flame-retardant tape that delivers glow and reflective visibility together, built for heat transfer application and a segmented layout. It is aimed at high-risk PPE where the garment has to stay visible in headlights, in darkness, and under fire-resistance requirements at the same time.

Key features

  • Combines luminous glow and reflective performance for multi-condition visibility
  • Flame-retardant construction for high-risk PPE applications
  • Heat transfer application for a clean surface and efficient production
  • Segmented design improves flexibility, breathability and comfort
  • Width, pattern and colour can be customised

  • High-risk industrial PPE
  • Fire and rescue related protective clothing
  • Segmented trims on heat transfer production lines

Common questions

What does this tape combine?

Glow-in-the-dark visibility, retroreflective performance and a flame-retardant construction in one segmented heat transfer tape.

Why heat transfer instead of sewing?

Heat transfer gives a cleaner surface and faster production on garments where sewing a trim is impractical.

Can width and colour be customised?

Yes. Width, pattern and colour are customisable.

Not sure which luminous construction fits your garment? Send us the application, target width and care requirements, and we will recommend the matching build.

Glow and FR on one tape, two certificates

Photoluminescence and flame retardancy are separate properties with separate evidence, and neither implies the other. Ask for both sets of documentation against the same batch.

What to confirm before ordering

  • Charging exposure: how much light the panel sees before use decides the afterglow.
  • Afterglow requirement: duration and brightness are confirmed per build - give a target.
  • Carrier or backing: glow is delivered on different carriers; confirm which suits your process.
  • Wash cycle: luminous layers dim with washing, so state domestic or industrial.

Compliance note

No single retroreflective figure is quoted for this build, and a number without its test method and wash cycle would not be comparable anyway. Confirm the measured value for the grade you order, on the substrate you order it on.

If the finished article has to carry an EN ISO 20471 or ANSI/ISEA 107 claim, say so before the order: the grade and the evidence are chosen together, and changing either afterwards means a new build.
