Overview
A dual-visibility tape for demanding PPE work: strong retroreflectivity while a light is pointed at the wearer, then luminous visibility once that light source disappears. It is built for road maintenance, construction and night operations where the wearer moves between lit and unlit areas.
Key features
- Dual visibility: retroreflective under headlights plus luminous glow afterwards
- Improves recognition from multiple angles and distances
- Suited to road maintenance, construction and night operations
- Tough surface for repeated handling and outdoor exposure
- Available in the widths needed for bands, braces and panels

Common questions
What makes it dual visibility?
The tape reflects light back to its source under headlights, and also stores light energy to glow once that light source is gone.
Where is it normally used?
Road maintenance, construction and night operations, where the wearer moves between lit and unlit areas.
How long does it glow?
Most vibrant for the first 1-2 hours after charging, then fading gradually over several hours depending on light exposure.

Performance here means two mechanisms
A high-performance luminous tape claims both retroreflection and afterglow, which are measured differently and degrade at different rates. Ask for both figures, and for the wash cycle they were measured after.
What to confirm before ordering
- Charging exposure: how much light the panel sees before use decides the afterglow.
- Afterglow requirement: duration and brightness are confirmed per build - give a target.
- Carrier or backing: glow is delivered on different carriers; confirm which suits your process.
- Wash cycle: luminous layers dim with washing, so state domestic or industrial.
Compliance note
No single retroreflective figure is quoted for this build, and a number without its test method and wash cycle would not be comparable anyway. Confirm the measured value for the grade you order, on the substrate you order it on.
If the finished article has to carry an EN ISO 20471 or ANSI/ISEA 107 claim, say so before the order: the grade and the evidence are chosen together, and changing either afterwards means a new build.
